What happened at launch

NoShadow's official Steam news confirms the sequence: "SCAVLAND IS OUT NOW!" was posted on launch day (September 4, 2026), followed the next day by a Day One Patch (Update 0.5.169) on September 5. That's a normal pattern for an Early Access launch — a quick patch addressing whatever surfaced once the wider player base got in.

Before launch

Scavland's road to Early Access included a public demo, which went live in mid-2026 and was later removed once the full EA build shipped (see the demo page for details), and an official wishlist milestone of over 100,000 wishlists announced on Steam news in late August 2026, shortly before launch.
