Scavland Demo
The demo is no longer available
Scavland had a free demo, but it's not currently downloadable. As of this check, Scavland's Steam store page shows no demo entry, and the game's public API listing confirms there is no linked demo build associated with the game anymore. If you're looking for a way to try before you buy, that option isn't there right now.
When the demo existed
NoShadow's official Steam news announced "Scavland Demo is Now LIVE!" in mid-2026, several months before the full Early Access release. The demo ran for roughly three months, giving players hands-on time with an early build ahead of the September 4, 2026 Early Access launch. It appears to have been taken down around the time of that full release — removing demos after a paid launch is a common practice for Early Access games, so this isn't unusual.
What changed between demo and full release
We don't have an official, itemized changelog comparing the demo build to the Early Access release. What we do know from official sources: the demo predates the Day One Patch (Update 0.5.169) and the full feature set described on Scavland's current Steam page, including the complete weapon customization system and the wider Zalesye world. Treat the demo-era build as an earlier, smaller slice of what's in Early Access now — the exact scope difference is unconfirmed beyond that.
What to do instead
Since there's no demo to test performance or get a feel for the game, your options are the full $17.99 Early Access purchase, or reviewing what's already public: the official trailers on YouTube, the Steam page's screenshots and description, and independent reviews of the current build.
