Is Scavland Multiplayer?

No — Scavland is single-player only

As of the September 4, 2026 Early Access launch, Scavland does not have multiplayer or co-op in any form. This isn't a guess: Steam's own store categories for the game list only Single-player (alongside things like Steam Achievements and controller support) — there's no Co-op, Online PvP, or Online Co-op tag anywhere on the listing. NoShadow's full official description of the game, which covers the world, factions, weapons, and progression in detail, doesn't mention another player at any point.

Has NoShadow said anything about adding it later?

We looked specifically for this and found nothing either way. NoShadow's official Steam news posts — covering the demo launch, wishlist milestones, the Early Access release, and the day-one patch — don't address multiplayer at all, positive or negative. That's different from developers who've explicitly ruled multiplayer out in a public Q&A; here, it's simply not something NoShadow has publicly committed to or dismissed.

Unconfirmed, both ways: don't trust a claim that multiplayer is "coming soon," and don't trust a claim that NoShadow has "ruled it out." Neither has been said officially as of this writing.

Where the search likely comes from

Scavland sits in a genre — top-down, pixel art, post-apocalyptic survival — where several well-known titles do have co-op or multiplayer components, and the game is frequently compared to Zero Sievert, whose extraction-run structure some players associate with squad play. NoShadow has addressed the Zero Sievert comparison directly and describes Scavland instead as a persistent single-player open-world RPG, which is a structurally different kind of game from a co-op extraction shooter.

Bottom line for buyers

If multiplayer is a requirement for you, Scavland doesn't currently meet it. If you're fine with a single-player hardcore survival RPG and were only asking because you'd seen it compared to co-op-friendly games in the genre, the comparison is about atmosphere and mechanics — not shared player count.
